Pmounts and the people that love them

I couldn't even do the mount cast anyway. Anytime I order something to do something else, it always ignores me :P

Is having a house prerequisite to getting a pmount? :(
Just curious, seems like they should be independant of each other.
Also, perhaps have a charge made for having the mount disappear with you when you log off, and reappear when you log on.

Yes, you have to have a house in order to have a mount. Got to have a place to put the thing to rest each night. :P

Hrm… Then that means they REALLY cost 40k just to get... For the house AND the pmount.
What a waste, especially if you wouldn't even USE your house. There should be a way to be able to buy just a pmount. :\

i dont condisder it a waste.. i go to my house when irate people try to hunt me down during reconings and try to kill me muhahah it has a safe room GASP i got away neener hehehehe i think they are very benifietial… heck i think it would be grea.

Only reason I even use chat is for when I quit for the night, otherwise I am in the game. Gimme my pmount or gimme a pizza! I'd prefer both.

In order to order any mob, mount or other wise it was required to be in your form. IE rescued and grouped from a quest, charmed, or in case of crusader (and i think paladin), mounts auto-group with you when you hop on.
Personally, I dont see as how it was overpowering, I was still (on the alt), killed by resourceful people even with the assistance of a mount. As I have defeated (on red withoout a mount) a 120 remort + his 119 mount( which is the highest the pmounts can go). So actually it was at worst an inconvience for those that had to face it. So as most of the recent changes that affect pk I dont think they were necessary and did not accomplish what they were supposed to. Any ways, that is my 2 cents, with inflation worth about a quarter of a cent. :)

They are in my group when I order them. I always get the ignore message in return, be it to sit, speak, emote, kill, etc.

Actually, as a compromise to the just not being able to order them to cast anymore. Limit it so the target can only be itself, (maybe the rider as well), but not any third party. IE it could be used for defending itself (and even casting pass door on itself, since that cant be casted on another) and maybe defending its rider. I dont know, just a suggestion, I realize this is kinda melding subjects of 2 strings.

How about you wake up and realize that having a mount that can infinitely cast heal on you is unbalanced.

i can sit in safe room and leave quickly as where in chat i have to type a bunch of commands then leave blah… im to damn lazy for that

If it was that unbalanced then I would not have been killed by people while using it. There are several ways to deal with the mount casting. And those ways have been demonstrated several times by those that know how to fight.

dood, having to use silence on your mount just so you stop spamming heal with it is lame..an animal being able to cast any spell in the game is lame too. It's not realistic and its not fair in pk, it's bad enough you have to kill a mount just to get to the person.

Having to deal with a mount is no different than saying having to deal with you to get to one of your churchies.
As a crusader, the mount becomes a faithful follower when you mount up. And dealing with that skill of a crusader is no different than dealing with say the pursuit skill of a warlord or any other class specific skill of the other classes. Every class has their benefits. A big deal was made of persuit being unfair as well. And there are other ways to deal with spell casting npc's, blind (either the orderer or the ordered). Silence as you mentioned, or there is another simple one, that is as effective as silence, because there is noway to fix it during combat, without opening another vulnerability, so I still say it is not unbalanced. And this is coming from someone who has been on both ends of the argument in game.
