Atempts to turn in quest buit fails because of number 6…and 7 im alergic to both gets told that others are more deserving of questing... falls to her knees and starts bawling .... curses ...gets back up and waits for quest timer to say i can quest again and askex for another quest..

And you get how many quest points for that? Surely you get 0 experience points and no practices for that….
Or will the time expire before you can complete the quest? :D

Technically…. it's still running... just stuck in an infinite loop somewhere in the code unable to process connections. ;)
That or the port has been closed, but I doubt that. Londo would have gotten wind of it or been informed that it was closed and posted something about it.

LOL it was up for 30-45mins then it crashs again, i bet its gonna be down for another 15 hrs, we really need someone active to reboot it when it needs it, or whatever to keep it up and running

just a suggestion, in a mud i was playing while Sent was down for 7 months they had a thing that for minor type crashes, it would reset itself. Dont know if that would help in this case. But if the powers that be are interested I might be able to put you in contact with people from there that might be able to help you with that, if you would need it, I dont know how hard that would be or what.

Yea, this sucks having to wait for syn to show up to get it rebooted, he comes reboots it, leaves, it crashs again and we cant play until he comes back, some imm should get shell access so they can reboot it… or just say fuck the global quest cuz it usaully crashes when its running for some reason.. we gotta do something about this tho, its getting REALLY old

rofl thank god someone said something I was afriad so say anything thinking it might be a little rude since the imm/imps have personal lives they need to adend to but i mean realy if you dont have time whats the point in running a mud and i will forever think this is the best mud IF there were less crash and faster restart times cuz i have a feeling that since it was down for what almost all day gets back up for 30 mins to an hour then crashes and stays down til tomorrow night and crases again and again im not trying to sound mean but it does get alitte bothersome but luv ya imm/imps anyway :twisted:

it was some dodgy loop thing, at the moment it looks like its to do with belexus's mount but i'm heading off to a boozer in a minute so i don't have time to look at it
giving anyone else shell access wouldnt fix anything, who's to say they will be around anymore than i am
what would be better is to have some sort of daemon that kills off the game process as soon as it starts eating all the cpu time, however this wont allow me to debug it and fix the problem

yup - the game runs under a script that when it dies (usually due to a segmentation fault) it's automatically restarted after 30 secshowever the current prob (when you can connect, but the login screen doesn't show up) is caused by an infinite loop within the game, which i'm looking for and have a good idea where it is.. however debugging this can be a little hard, so it's necesarry to be patient.

lol, speaking of things (like flames) that should not be near parts of my anatomy (my ass) I paid a docter 123 dollars to stick a q-tip in my penis to tell me that I didn't have clamidia… even though I fucking told her I didn't. turns out all I had to do was pee in a cup, so I think she just wanted a lit'l peek.
