This is probably stupid but here goes.

Why are Monks good align? There are monks of evil cults out there. Plenty of them. There were dark monks back in the day too. I think Monks should be neutral, and druids good. Druids don't tend to be evil. They're such tree huggers they'd rather gaze at their favorite tree, or pet their favorite squirrel than do anything evil. :P Anyway, just an idea.

Actually, I think you are confusing druids with hippies or something.

Try looking up stuff on druids and you'll probably find they do/did both good and evil things… or have/had the potential to do them.

The same argument about monks can be said about witches. It is all a point of how does this game define the roles of each subclass. If monks are designed to be good and witches evil, that's the game design's perogative. :P

All good points. Personally I think we should dump the set alignment thing altogether and let a player's individual actions decide his or her alignment.

That would royally screw with the classes though…. It's not impossible to deal with, just a pain when alignment dependancies are so entrenched in the classes and what you can choose.

Exactly. That way, any race could be any class. Though MAYBE, their NEXT class could be affected by whta they choose. Let's say I go Marauder, an evil warrior. Well I would have to be a neutral or evil class next. Now, if I went neutral, THEN for the class after that, I could pick what I wanted. If I went good then, for my last class, I could go either good or neutral. If I went neutral, I could pick any of the three again

            Maybe that's dumb, I dunno.
