Sith's being vulnerable to piercing has become such a handicap that the race is almost not worth playing anymore. Arrows and a vast majority of weapons in the game target it. Although this doesn't affect many people with the amount of siths that are played, it is still a problem because it puts players that do have siths at a huge disadvantage. I don't think races should have vulns to damage types at all, but this one either needs to be toned way down or plain removed. One shot from any decent arrow deals almost 4k damage to any sith, which is more hp than a lot of players have. This is the most restrictive and devistating vuln and it renders the entire race practically useless. I'd appreciate a response from an imm that can help with this situation or at least explain how it could be handled.

This needs to be at least toned down if nothing else because they are also vuln to fire (one of the most common types of damages)

Keep a discussion on how to improve this please.

perhaps some sort of 6th sence defense from arrows, or perhaps set the piercing vuln to only relate to hitting a sith. Piercing weapons may penetrate our scales easily, but our simple reptilian bodies can regenerate the damage quickly.

Understanding requires not just a moment of perception, but a continuous awareness, a continuous state of inquiry without conclusion.

Ok, maybe tone down the vuln a bit, but I don't think it should be removed entirely. Siths actually have a lot of interesting stuff.. me and Lukus were discussing this very thing the other day. They get a lot of really cool, interesting, and most importantly, practical abilities. I can't list them all off, but any Siths/Nagas feel free to. But what I do know is that they have a natural hunt (would be perfect for bard, too bad they're evil and can't go bard) and some really interesting toxins (including one that knocks out opponent).

But yes, making the ability not apply to arrows might be a good thing. However, with the next patch the damage from arrows will be toned down greatly already, remember.

I meant that people would gain a 'to hit' bonus vs my species, but not a damage bonus. My reasoning was that reptiles have very simple nervous system compaired to humans, thus able to regrow or regenerate limbs. Simple piercing damage would be quick to heal, especially with our evil and magical nature.

I don't want to be annihilated by a hunter's arrow to the neck, so my question is can a hunter target a sneaking opponent with a bow?

technically, it's the same with Lich, their vuln to blunt REALLY hurts the race.. specailly when 95% of the mobs int he game, hit with Blunt… you get owned by alot of mobs, which occurs alot more frequently than a player with piercing..

An arrow to the neck would annihilate anyone.
