A somewhat disturbing recent use of immunity has started.

Lichs immune to electrical have been getting bigger friends to brew mass quantiities of chain lightning potions. Now they quaff these and annilate those in the room with them. Be they mobs or players. What is disturbing about this is that this works with people that are much higher level than the lich in question.

My suggestion, in stead of just being immune to said attacks and having them bounce off in the case of chain lightning, I think an absorbtion of the spell energy would be better something to the effect:

LilLich aborbs all the energy of the electricity and smiles.

This would prevent the use of potions from others to sway pk and or leveling in favor of Lichs. Alternately I suppose a spell of Chain Fireball, Chain Snowball etc could be implemented to level the playing field.

Actually those type spells might be interesting in addition to those immune to certain types of energy absorbing them, rather than reflecting.

(p.s.- Yes my lich has done it on mobs. But I dont think it is right to have a low 2nd class mort defeat a 3rd class remort by stacking quaff potion, quaff potion, quaff potion.)

I like the idea of lichs absorbing lightning damage. it is surely a pain when a lich can quaff chain lightning potions and not be affected at all. perhaps just give them 1/4 of the cost of mana it costed to cast the lightning spell if anything.

also the the chain fireball/snowball deal sounds cool, perhaps a different name for them chain snowball sounds kinda funny.

Also, this spell is currently unblockable by shield. It really should, and perhaps give a chance to break the chain when blocked.

Well seeing as I was one of the remorts that was annoyed with chain lighting quaffing, i suggest and idea. Make all potions quaffed = the power based off the chara quaffing the potion, or if the potions spell is lower than the person quaffing, then the spell isn't changed. So for example a level 31 person quaffing a 120 chain lighting potion will only get a chain lighting spell of 31, even though the max power can be 120 if quaffed by someone higher in level. Just a thought.

And i would like to see something like chain snowball etc. There aren't many ice spells from what i recall.

You make something out of steel, you can't just turn it into a nerf bat because a child has it. I do think that potions and scrolls should be able to scribed at or below characters level. Undefined level would default at characters level.

Level 60 character brews a sanctuary level.

            brew sanctuary

This would make the potion level 60

Same character wants to make a weaker version of the potion:

            brew 30 sanctuary

This would brew a level 30 sanctuary. This should also be half the cost manawise since it doesn't take as much concentration, but also increases chance of success.

I think the Absortion idea would be more suited for this problem. If your immune to something you absorb it and your immunities destroy it. it isnt converted to your lvl and then given to others, that sounds silly.
