Right now if a target is hurt enough they can't be backstabbed because they are "hurt and suspicious", but even if you knock them out with blackjack or incapacitate them some other way they still can't be backstabbed for the same reason. I just thought that if some dude was lying in a puddle of his own drool and blood on the cobblestones that he wouldn't be suspicious of me putting a knife in his back ;)

I think he's right. Sure if they are conscious, or in battle with you, they will be wary, but not if they are unaware of your existance because they are knocked out cold. If a mob (or players, for that matter) are asleep, they should be able to be backstabbed at any hp amount.

I agree with this. Hard to be suspicious if you're not concious.

Heh, I've never seen this since I don't have blackjack, but I'd have to agree.

There would be no point realy cuz if you blackjack them just slit throat if they are that low on hp and I can see that if this were to happen it can be abused cuz I mean most people use spells to prevent them from being knocked out from blackjack and its already a pain for someone to backstab flee backstab hence the nasty little lag time it has other then that it would be to cheap in pvp good idea for mobs though easy leveling

Slit throat doesn't give XP. And most people who deal with PvP prolly try to keep themselves calmed so they don't get knocked out. There's no advantage to backstabbing someone over slitting their throat except for XP, and in PvP I'd think instant death would be a bit harsher than losing some health, whatever the amount. It could be abused for leveling, yes. This is a whole nother ball game, though, because I think mobs should remember that you attacked them and attack you on sight until a timer snaps them back to being peaceful little mobs. I dunno, it would just make sense to be able to backstab someone who's not conscious.

I would agree with you Beastmaster except that not everyone with blackjack has slit throat. Currently rogues also get blackjack and I'm not exactly sure what use it has for them. For that reason I like this idea.

I don't agree with Beastmaster. Besides the fact that I could hardly understand what he said because he has no grammatical sense, blackjacking and backstabbing mobs would be a very hard thing to abuse. It would be very time consuming, and a person could just level differently and get faster experience.

The principal of the fact is, if you're asleep, you are not too hurt and weary to be backstabbed. You are a sitting duck. You are bait waiting to be stabbed in between the vertebrae.
