    With the upcoming upgrades, and extension of the wildes I think it would be cool to change the freebie ship into some sort of ship that would have various activities for people to do for a fee of course :) And even have a cover charge to get on it. What do y'all think?? Maybe make a couple ships one that would make stops on all the first cont ports and one for 2nd.

      I'm not sure what you mean by activities, but I could see this going somewhere certainly. I definitely think a fee would be fair.

          The Endeavor will like to be going BYE-BYE after ships are released, as there'd be no point, unless it were made into an actual ship that obeys the same rules as all other ships (ie, takes the same time as a comparable ship to sail to the various locations). At the moment, with the Endeavor the way it is, it would make having sailing ships for the most part moot. The only reason you'd need your own ship would be to go where the Endeavor and the airship cannot/will not take you.

            I just thought it'd be cool to have something a little different. Ships are gonna be fairly interesting but what about those who don't want a ship? I really hope the restritctions aren't so bad that a person would be forced to own a ship just to get around….

              There will be a public boat still, I think whisp made the scuzzlebucket or endevaor or whatever into an actual boat. plus the airship. You wont need one for your basic getting around, but to explore exotic enchanted territories across the ocean you will

                I was thinking maybe having church ships. Ships that belong to churches, that can be purchased, for gold, karma, and pneuma. These ships can also be upgraded, and the church members can decide on the descriptions, and make shops, and trainers etc. Of course, this will involve the imms greatly on monitoring the way the ship is used. The ships also don't have to go to JUST first or second, the church leader can decide where the ship can go. The ship should no matter what have to go to the cont. where the church is located, and then it could go to mordrake, or the undersea.

                The ship church ship could also have a service charge, it would cost say, 5000 gold, 300k Karma, and 500 pneuma to run a month. This could vary on the size of the ship. Also, there would be a user charge as well. When someone enters the boat, it could cost 100 gold, 500 dt points, and 10 pneuma. Something in that manner. So having a useful ship would supply the church with what is needed to keep it running.

                It is just an idea, but it could create a good competition between larger churches.

                Like the moon over the day, my genius and brawn are lost on these fools.

                  I dunno, seems like you are wanting mobile church halls that can go on ANY terrain like the airship. No, can you imagine the problems with that? Sure, if they were NORMAL ships, not highly customizable structures that would allow for players to gohall anywhere. And what about raiding the treasure room?

                  Frankly, if such a thing were allowed, there should be SEVERE penalties to the ship. It's a veritable city floating in the water, hence should have MAJOR lag in movement. It should have a HOME port, such that you must anchor the ship THERE for church members to gohall to it. Changing home port should cost a shitload. Should it be out at sea away from this port, too bad. Should the ship be lost due to too much damage or being scuttled, the entire hall is cleared of everything, treasure room included. Repairing the ship will cost the church as well. Should the ship be boarded and defeated, the treasure room is raided, taking relics and anything of major value first.

                  Basically, you want to have a mobile hall, you suffer greatly for losing it to counterbalance the obvious evasion this causes.

                    I agree with Xev for the most part. having a ship like that would be a bit much. If you want a church ship, get everyone to pitch in and buy a ship and just share it unless they are owner only, but even still if you are on enough that won't even be a problem.
