    *Added new area for use in tokenized mini-quest example, and, if all goes well, a continuing mini-quest that high level players can be involved in.

    *Created mapping for area, and started working on a few mobs and room objects.

    I agree with this. I'm not certain, but do meditation and fast healing still work there? For some reason I'm thinking I remember getting a better in one of those on my mort… but I could be wrong. I'm still in agreement that we should disable all betters all together in rift, and make it a "chat" only zone. I also agree with Areo that time/age should not continue while in rift.

    Furthermore, I am in full support of a new rule disallowing any player to have more than one character in-game. Especially after the needed changes are made to rift.

    All I meant by seperate per race, were the the initial first couple of rooms. LIke i think currently we have 12 rooms before you get dumped into the dungeon area. I meant simply the first rooms, learn the game commands, get initial eq, learn your race specific strengths/weakness/skills in a small 10-12 room area that helps instill a bit of theme toward what race you choose. Then once they have gone through that, they would be dumped into a common area. That was what I was thinking.

With much of each army covering the ground in death, Jorgyth and Vaelarys continued their struggle against one another. Finally, outsmarted by the tactics of Vaelarys, Jorgyth fell to defeat allowing Vaelarys to smite him back to the Shadow Plane.

    The One’s army left leaderless was quickly driven back into the Shadow Plane, and once again balance was restored to the planes. But deep in the Shadow Plane, Jorgyth still stirred. Being created in the image of the One, he was an immortal. Only his mortal shell could be slain, yet his own entity lived on, returning to the Shadow Plane to regain strength and reemerge again. So laid in wait, forming a plan to destroy Vaelarys and regain his former glory.

    When he had the strength, Jorgyth reemerged from the Shadow Plane, in the shell of an angel. Upon entering Eden, he played himself as a loyal servant to powers of Light. At his first chance, he stood before Vaelarys and revealed his true identity. Growling a curse of shadows, he stole Vaelarys’ soul and returned to the One. But by this time, the One, and the Maker, had disappeared and had been nearly forgotten.

    As centuries pass, Jorgyth begins to watch the mortal realm grow and unfold, and becomes intrigued by a lone human, Mishkal. He devises a plan to merge himself with this Mishkal in an attempt to gain control over the mortal realm. Mishkal grows extremely powerful with Jorgyth’s guidance but soon discovers that the demon lord’s plan was only to use him toward his own purpose. Jorgyth is cast from Mishkal and trapped in the Abyss. Little did Mishkal know that Jorgyth yet retained Mishkal’s knowledge of blood-based magics. Using this new knowledge, Jorgyth creates his son, Hrath. Born of flesh, but given the power to wield the energies of Shadow.

    From the Abyss, Jorgyth and Hrath watch the events of Mishkal unfold, and vow to exact revenge upon Mishkal, and all mortals.</quote>

    Hi there all, I am posting this with an attached .txt form. If there is an idea you want to build or create, please fill out the attached form and email it to me. This form is mainly a way to keep track of who's doing what and so I can set the area up for you.

    Also, on all new areas, I would like everyone to do a write-up of the area/event/revamp explaining what all is involved, anything you might request (coding-wise), and a storyline. Areo and I are strill fine-tuning the general game history and storyline and will be posting the finished one when we get it complete. As far as your areas, in the story you can include; events that are specific to that area, key mobs both current and historical, events in the area that tie to general game storyline.. etc.

    I was thinking of an area (idea generated while talking to Areo) perhaps an old ship wreck, just off the coast of one of the continents. Could be geared toward second/third class players. Have a storyline with possibly a mystery to solve, some mobs, and items. I will come up with a better write-up for an area like this, but I wanted to post it here and see what you guys thought.
