Couldn't replicate this one. Have a look at my testing parameters- maybe yours was a more specific case or a visibility issue. Also, objects and rooms can't whisper - you'll have to use echos for that.

I'm wondering if this is just a visibility issue. If the mob tried to remember you and couldn't SEE you, $q would expand to "someone".
